Here at Reddish Joinery, our bespoke installation work features everything from sliding sash windows to roofline. One of our recent installations saw us travel to Hazel Grove, a suburb of Stockport, to install an orangery with aluminium framing.
We started by laying the foundations of the orangery before starting on the brickwork, including the brick columns. So the new orangery blended in seamlessly with the existing property, we used bricks that matched those on the existing property. This made sure that, once the orangery was finished, it looked like an extension of the existing home and not a separate entity.
Our next step was to fit some framing for the roof. Installing the framing was a necessary precursor to fitting the stylish lantern roofs which orangeries are renowned for. Without it, they wouldn’t have the support they need.
Once the framing was built, our team of experts got to work constructing the lantern roofs. Fortunately for our Hazel Grove customers, our lantern roof system is one of the best on the market. Their rigid aluminium structures enable them to have incredibly slender sightlines, ensuring they ooze with style and allow plenty of light inside the orangery. However, they’ll also keep the heat in because the aluminium is fitted with thermal breaks and the latest energy efficient glass was used. As a result, their new space will be bright, warm and cosy all year round.
For the next part, we began installing the orangery’s doors. Bifold doors were the doors of choice for their contemporary look and operation. Additionally, their unique folding capacity means that, when the doors are open, the orangery is completely opened up to light and air. This is perfect for those warm summer months, especially when entertaining guests, as they can transition between the inside and outside of the orangery with ease. Black was chosen for the external colour of the doors, as well as the roof trim, for a perfect match with the windows and doors that were present on the existing property.
As a result of our high-quality installation work, this Stockport home now has a luxury living space that looks and feels like an extension of their current home. The new owners can now use it however they wish, whether it’s somewhere to study, entertain guests or just relax.
