If you happen to own any Accoya doors, good for you; Accoya is a fantastic construction material, ideal for use in the manufacture of home-improvement products. However, if you own any, you may be wondering how to clean them. If so, you’ll be pleased to hear that this simple guide explains exactly how.
Accoya wood can be stained if aggressive cleaning agents are used upon it. Therefore, avoid using these at all costs. Do not expose Accoya to alkaline conditions either, as this will invalidate any warranties on the durability and performance of the wood. For cleaning purposes, a solution of household soap diluted with warm water will do a more than adequate job.
If you happen to have an Accoya door with one or more sections of glass, it’s good to know how to clean these areas too. You can make a glass-cleaning solution by combining a squirt of washing up liquid, six tablespoons of white vinegar, and four cups of warm water. This will remove most of the marks left on the glass.
Cleaning glass is best performed on a warm but cloudy day, where the wind is minimal. This is because sunlight and wind cause the glass to dry up too quickly, leading to a streaky finish.
To clean the glass, apply the glass-cleaning solution, ensuring full coverage, before wiping it down with a non-abrasive cloth or sponge. Next, rinse the glass with plain water before using a squeegee to dry it.
