Earlier this year, Reddish Joinery were asked to install a brand new uPVC porch for the Wynne family. We had worked with Wynnes before on their previous property, and they were so impressed with our work that they asked Reddish to carry out their latest home improvement job.
Located in the South Downs, Knutsford, Reddish designed and built a new uPVC porch for the the Wynne’s family home to replace an ageing timber construction. Having previously worked with the family, the Wynnes knew they could trust us to deliver a porch which not only fit with their home’s aesthetic, but also provided the levels of durability and insulation they required.
Reddish Joinery worked hard to construct a porch which was both modern and practical, and therefore opted for a uPVC frame and uPVC door for the porch’s primary material. Using uPVC and efficient double glazed units ensured that the porch would be both more energy efficient and secure than the ageing timber porch it replaced. Requiring just a simple wipe-down from time to time, it will also prove to be very low maintenance and convenient for the Wynnes.
We also manufactured a lean-to roof to replace the family’s existing flat roof, creating porch which is both more contemporary and more practical – offering greatly improved water drainage. To improve this even further, we fitted the porch with high quality roofline and guttering to prevent potential damage from standing water.
In addition to the Wynne’s new uPVC porch, we also manufactured a beautiful, bespoke internal front door within the porch itself – and replaced its accompanying single glazed glass panel for a modern, obscure glassed sign.
Our expert team of installers installed the Wynne’s replacement porch without a hitch. Our installers have years of experience, which means that we were able to install the porch frame, glazing panels and doors with minimal time on site, whilst still providing a quality construction.
Unlike other installers, we have experience working with both uPVC and timber, meaning that we could provide the family with both a beautiful uPVC porch and timber entrance door which fit their performance needs, and the aesthetic features of their home.
The family were extremely happy with the quality of their new porch and doors, and Reddish were pleased to have helped another customer with their home improvement needs.
